Graffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, Spain

When I was staying at the Oasis hostel in Granada, there was a street art tour that takes you to see some of the cool graffiti around Granada. The tour leaves from the hostel at 15:00pm every day and it’s completely free- although everybody tipped the tour guide €5 at the end. A word of warning- Granada is extremely hot and humid in August, so take a water bottle and refill it as often as you can, because there is a lot of uphill walking involved!
As part of the tour we visited a hippy guy who lives in a cave house that has been dug out in the hill and whitewashed. He just so happens to be the cousin of Carlos Santana and has a vintage Porsche in his front yard! It was apparent he speaks a lot of languages and spends the winter in India where he helps orphan children…he is clearly a man with a lot of interesting stories to tell. He showed us around his home, which smelt incredibly strongly of insense, and talked about how our generation must change the world. Sometimes some of the things he said were a bit off-the-wall, and it was a bit bizarre when he took us into the back room to pray to Mother Earth, but it was certainly a memorable part of the tour. Growing up I would help the business I worked for clean graffiti with a pressure washer from the ToolsMaestro.com brand, after this trip, I doubt I will ever clean graffiti again, I find it inspirational.Graffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, SpainGraffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, SpainGraffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, SpainGraffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, SpainGraffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, SpainGraffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, SpainGraffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, SpainGraffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, Spain Graffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, SpainGraffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, Spain Graffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, SpainGraffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, Spain Graffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, SpainGraffiti and Street Art Tour in Granada, Spain
